What are the best bits of being on the board at MitC
Collaborating with board members and the sense of pride I feel at being part of an organisation that plays a key role in community wellbeing. The range of projects the team are involved in is brilliant and it’s lovely to see and hear how we are helping people to improve their lives.
What has been your biggest success in your time on the board at MitC so far
Developing staff in mental health and wellbeing, to enable them to look after themselves and have the skills and confidence to support others.
What are you looking forward to over the next 12 months
Developing our strategic direction and seeing the benefit of partnership working to become ever more inclusive. A perfect example is our new Down Syndrome friendly football. The smiles on the faces of coaches and participants brings me real joy.
